The big day has arrived!

Last night saw Team Aus spend some time unwinding with the help of generous traditional Romanian dinner servings at "La Mama" (http://www.lamama.ro/) - a popular restaurant for foreigners looking for 'real local food' in Bucharest.

A bright and early 7.45am meeting in the plush lobby (Phoenicia Grand Hotel http://www.phoenicia.ro/) this morning showcased the impressive confidence of these 5 Bond students who's nerves seemed to be overcome by focus and drive to succeed in todays semi-finals.

The Australian group and their competitors were escorted onto a bus headed for the Romanian National Bank where they will be given a briefing session and team allocation before the first Management Report is due at 10.45am.

Good luck in Romania

All the best to the team from Bond University who will be participating in the semi-final of the Global Management Challenge today (15 April) in Romania. Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Ironing out the kinks from the other side of the curtain

Day 2 of Romania. We are still getting used to our new surroundings. Some of us went out for a wander yesterday evening to get a feel for the place... But we really don't feel like we'll get a chance to explore till after the actual competition.

Preparations are continuing for tomorrow from the comfort of the hotel, and we are working hard reviewing past performances, refining strategies and ironing out kinks in models. Dan's models are really starting to look good, and I feel certain he has a career in modelling in store for him after the competition.

In the short term though, getting our bodies adjusted is a high priority, because we haven't fully adjusted to the new time zone. A nice dinner with Josh should help with that tonight, and the arrival of Baden, (Bond's faculty advisor) has certainly given the team a new lease on life.

Onwards and Upwards!!!

Just Touched Down

After 31 hours in transit, a sprint through Singapore International, finding ourselves as pseudo-bagge handlers in Bucharest Airport, we have arrived!!!

Flights were all easy, Dan and the hostees got on well, food was great, but we are all tired and the reality of it all is only starting to sink in now. That aside...

We are in Romaina. Watch out Europe!!!
