University of Strathclyde Graduate School of Business

The Graduate School of Business (GSB) has offered
the MBA since 1966, when it became the first school in the UK to offer
the one-year full-time MBA. It also has the distinction of being the
first school in the UK to offer a part-time MBA and a distance-learning
MBA.
This pioneering reputation has not gone unnoticed - GSB won the
Queen`s Award for Export Achievement in 1993 as a result of the MBA
being offered at overseas centres, and the Association of MBAs (AMBA)
has accredited all MBA routes.
As well as being the first in Scotland to gain AMBA accreditation,
Strathclyde was the first business school in Scotland to gain EQUIS
accreditation - one of just 16 schools in the UK to have this stamp of
approval, awarded by the European Foundation for Management
Development.
