THE world's top universities have joined forces to create a new global partnership that will allow students at the Australian National University to pursue joint degrees at Yale, Tokyo and Beijing.
The powerful new university partnership, which will also promote international staff exchanges and research collaboration between 10 universities all ranked in the world's Top 20 institutions, will be announced by ANU vice-chancellor Ian Chubb today.
Students studying for a semester or longer at a partner institution would benefit from a credit-transfer agreement to ensure the course units were recognised by their home university.
Oxford University may also join the new partnership, which will ultimately comprise 10 universities - ANU; ETH Zurich; National University of Singapore; Peking University (PKU); University of California, Berkeley; University of Copenhagen; University of Tokyo; and Yale University.
