UK: University of Glasgow named Scottish University of the Year

The University of Glasgow has been named Scottish University of the Year by the Sunday Times newspaper as part of their annual Sunday Times University Guide.

The title was awarded for the University's “outstanding academic reputation, growing international standing and popularity with students”. It also jumped four places to 26th in the Sunday Times league table and recorded a high student satisfaction score of 76.5%

Student Representative Council President, Mhairi Wilson said: “There's a lot more to the University than its excellent academic reputation. Student life here is fantastic.”

It is leading the way internationally in bioelectronics, cell signalling, nanotechnology and optoelectronics, as well as doing pioneering work in the more traditional fields of medicine, engineering, law and business.

I am Habib Ullah from Pakistan. I have done Graduation in Sociology. Also i completed one year Post Graduate Diploma in IT, MCSE & Linux. I have a 5 years working experience as Computer Supervisor in a trust.
