Disney International Programs offers three different ways for international students to gain paid work experience through internships, learning great business skills and experiencing the fun and excitement of one of the world’s greatest theme parks.

If you are already studying at a US college or university, you can apply for an internship at the Walt Disney World Resort for 7months to a year, and study distance-learning classes from your college as well as Disney College coursework. Or, you can choose a shorter Seasonal Work Program, or work as a Cultural Representative.

The college combines practical experience and theory, ideal for hospitality, entertainment or service industry students. But you’ll also learn skills that will be valued in any future careers, such as effective communication, teamwork, leadership, self-confidence and cultural understanding.

The College course program includes classes in hospitality management, corporate communication, creativity and innovation, human resource management and organisational leadership. In addition, Professional Development Study programs give students from engineering, performing arts, business and security disciplines the chance to apply their specific study area to real-life situations.

To be eligible, you must be over 18, have good conversational English, and be outgoing and enthusiastic. You need to be studying in the US, or be a recent graduate. You will share accommodation with other students in a fully furnished apartment complex, and you can get admission to the theme park as well as discounts at the resorts, merchandise stores and much more.
