Study IT in the Silicon Valley

For IT students, Silicon Valley in California is the ultimate destination. Home to the world’s greatest computing companies and minds – Apple, NASA Ames Research Centre, Google, eBay, Yahoo! and many others – it’s the birthplace of countless technology breakthroughs that have changed the way we work and play.

So, would you like to study there? And also experience a paid internship with one of these amazing companies? Of course you would.

You can kick-start your IT career by completing the first 2 years of a Bachelor Degree at Foothill and DeAnza College. And then transfer to one of the most highly selective universities in America to complete your degree – such as UC Berkeley, UCLA, Stanford or Columbia.

Foothill and DeAnza have been ranked amongst the top two-year colleges in the US. Over 2,000 international students from over 70 countries begin their US studies here. Courses include all the latest must-have tech subjects, such as video game development, biotechnology and informatics. 

As part of the Computers, Technology and Information Systems program, you can also undertake a paid internship with a local company – such as NASA or Apple. It’s a great chance to pick up a mentor in Silicon Valley! Internship positions include computer programmers, network technicians, multimedia assistants and systems administrators.

Tuition fees are surprisingly affordable, on average less than US$5,000 per year. That means you can halve the cost of going to a typical four-year university – and still study in one of the most beautiful community college campuses ever built (according to the American Institute of Architects). You’ll be close to Pacific Ocean beaches, 45 minutes south of San Francisco and just 20 minutes west of San Jose.
