Japan: A global MBA advantage at IUJ
The International University of Japan’s Business School has ranked in the top 100 MBA programs for six years running, and is the only business school in Japan to feature in this prestigious list. This year the Economist Intelligence Unit placed in 82nd in the world, and 8th in the Asia-Pacific region.
The program’s strengths lie in the international mix of students, teachers and alumni, and in the support provided for career services. IUJ is a modern university based near Urasa, about 230 km (less than two hours by bullet train) northwest of Tokyo. Its Business School was opened in 1988, in collaboration with the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. It was the first US-style business school in Japan.
The MBA program has evolved to meet changing demands in the business environment, introducing a one-year e-business management program in 2001.
Today, the culturally diverse campus provides a unique perspective of the business world and encourages global networking. All course are taught in English, but Japanese language courses are also available – giving graduates a profound advantage in the Japanese job market.
Richard White, from the US, found the decision to study at IUJ an easy one. He says, “I’ve always wanted to work and live in Japan. IUJ provides an experience that’s difficult to find anywhere else. A top notch academic program, a truly diverse student body, top research facilities and a great language program make it an easy choice for anyone interested in studying in Japan or Asia.”
Scholarships are available for non-Japanese students, including the JASSO-sponsored Honors Scholarship with a monthly stipend of 70,000 Yen. For more information on all the programs available at IUJ, contact a StudyLink student counsellor for more details.

IUJ has been very fortunate to receive students from all 5 continents on the globe, and the diversity is one of IUJ's strengths. Admissions applications to IUJ are treated equally regardless of applicants' nationality. We look forward to welcoming more students from all over the world.
IUJ is proud to have over 20 alumni from Pakistan. They are making us very proud serving in roles in the Pakistani government, the UN, the World Bank, various investment banks and in high tech fields. Plus a gentleman from Pakistan was just elected to serve on the IUJ Alumni Association Executive Council.
